The culturally competent teacher should be able to use a variety of assessment techniques appropriate to diverse learners and accommodate sociocultural differences that affect learning. How might the teacher be responsive to the linguistic, ethnic, and sociocultural characteristics of the students in his or her assessment practices?
Culturally responsive teaching means respecting the cultures and experiences of various groups and then uses these as resources for teaching and learning. Culturally responsive teaching allows students to be better human beings and more successful learners. Teachers must demonstrate ambitious and appropriate expectations and exhibit support for students in their efforts toward academic achievement. In conclusion, as we all know every year we get different students. Teacher need to always prepare them self for the students that he/she has in their classroom. We all know that every student is different. Every student comes from a different background, different cultures and even different life experience.

This is a good sort of theoretical definition of what this prompt is referring to. However your own voice is missing. How is this done in the classroom you work in? How does the teacher (s) assess students while addressing cultural/or other diversities? What are some specific examples you can add to illustrate your point(s)?
